Cyclones went 2-1 in the Lakeview tourney

On Saturday, September 14th the Cyclones traveled to Columbus to participate in the Lakeview tournament. They played Lakeview as their first game and won 8-4. Senior Jordyn Ratzlaff started in the circle for the Cyclones, striking out 9 and walking 1. Only allowing 4 runs, 3 of them being earned, and allowing 8 hits. 

Leading off for the Cyclones sophomore Allie Dirkschneider, who walked twice got hit once and scored one run. Second was sophomore Autumn Slaughter, who hit once and scored once. Next was Ratzlaff who walked once, got hit once, and hit a fly ball to center, and scored twice. Fifth in the lineup was freshman Brittney Faltys who hit twice and scored twice. Last in the lineup was junior Annemarie Slaughter who hit three times but got out at each at bat. 

For the second game of the day the Cyclones played York and won 7-6. Pitching for this game was freshman Mattie Rayback, who threw four innings striking out 6, allowing 3 runs one being earned. Finishing in the circle was Ratzlaff, who threw one inning striking out one and allowing three hits only one being earned. 

Leading off was Dirkschneider who hit once, scored once, and had an RBI. Next was Autumn who hit twice, had one single and one triple. Next was Ratzlaff who had one double and scored once. Faltys hit once and scored once. Annemarie hit twice with two triples with two RBIs. 

For the last game, the Cyclones played LVSS and lost 14-2. Dirkschneider reached on an error. Autumn Slaughter had two at-bats with one RBI. Annemarie had one at-bat with one single and scored once. Eva Martin came in to hit for the Cyclones and reached the bases on her double scoring Jocelyn Donnely to give the Cyclones another run. 

The Cyclones will be competing in Dodge for their last home game of the season on September 17th starting at 5 pm.
