The Jaguars take down the Mead Raiders
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Saturday, January 18th, the Jaguars took on the Mead Raiders. They came out on top after quite the battle of a game. Per quarter scoring was:
HDC: 11/6/16/14 Final: 47
Mead: 13/9/10/10 Final: 42
The leading scorers for Howells-Dodge were Dane Meyer with 16 points, Nathan Tomcak and Carson Heard with 8, Hunter Luther with 7, Chase Luther scored 6, and Ethan Prusa with 2 points. The Jags were hungry under the basket with some impressive rebounding. Leading the team was H. Luther with 7, Prusa and Tomcak with 5, Meyer had 4, Heard and Andre Martin each snagged 2, and C. Luther got 1. Junior Dane Meyer had 6 assists and had 4 steals. Not far behind, Tomcak robbed 3, and Heard had 1 steal. Prusa had the singular block of the game. Head Coach Kevin Janata said, “It was an extremely physical game. The boys did a nice job adjusting to the ball pressure and press that Mead was using. We got down early but didn’t panic and fought our way back in the second half. Timely shooting and a solid defensive effort helped us secure the win.”
The Jaguars will be on the prowl again on Tuesday the 21st of January as they take on the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers in Bancroft.
