Jaguars gain another win at home against the Tigers
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Friday, January 24th the Jaguars played in Dodge against the Tekamah-Herman Tigers. The game was a tight first quarter, but the Jaguars managed to win each quarter, leading them to win the game 62-33. The scoring per quarter was:
HDC: 14/15/18/15
Tekamah-Herman: 13/9/4/7
The leading scorer for the Jaguars was junior Hunter Luther with 16 points. Junior Andre Martin was not far behind with 15 points. Junior Dane Meyer had 12 points. Junior Nathan Tomcak scored 10 points. Sophomore Briggs Ernst scored 5 points for the night. Sophomore Chase Luther scored 4 points, and senior Carson Heard scored 2 points.
Head Coach Kevin Janata stated, “After the back-and-forth first half, the boys did a nice job settling in on defense in the second half, holding Teamah-Herman only to 4 points in the third. That push was really when the game turned in our favor. We also did a nice job establishing the inside game and getting to the hoop.”
