The Jags battled hard but came up short facing this challenging opponent. The boys snagged 18 total rebounds with Andre Martin leading the team. He had 8 rebounds, and Hunter Luther was not far behind with 6. Nathan Tomcak got 5 rebounds, Dane Meyer got 4, and Cooper Kreikemeier got 2. Tomcak was at the top of the assisting list with 5 while Meyer had 3; Chase Luther, Heard, and H. Luther each had 2 assists; and Martin had 1. The Jags had 10 steals with H. Luther robbing 3; Heard and Tomcak had 2; and Meyer, C. Luther, and Martin each had 1. Breaking down the points of the game, H. Luther scored 13 points, Meyer scored 9, Tomcak scored 8, C. Luther and Heard each scored 6, Ethan Prusa scored 3, and Martin scored 1 point. Head Coach Kevin Janata stated, “It was a tough night finding rhythm on offense. Bancroft-Rosalie has some talented scorers. We didn’t take advantage of our size inside, instead, we turned it into a 3-point shooting contest which played into their strengths.” It was a tough game for the Jaguars, but surely they will rediscover their rhythm.
