The Jaguars face NBC

On Thursday, February 13 the Jaguars traveled to North Bend to take on the North Bend Central Tigers. The Jaguars beat North Bend in a close game 63-61. The scoring per quarter was:

HDC: 12/16/15/20 Final: 63

NBC: 10/11/18/22 Final: 61

The Jaguar's hot shooters were, Andre Martin with 19 points, Dane Meyer with 16 points, Nathan Tomcak with 9 points, Hunter Luther with 8 points, Carson Heard with 7 points, Chase Luther, and Ethan Prusa with 2 points. 

The Jaguars were dominant under both baskets rebounding. Andre Martin had 5 rebounds, both Luther boys had 4 rebounds, Dane Meyer and Nathan Tomcak both had 3, and Ethan Prusa and Carson Heard had 2 rebounds. 

The team did great passing as well with Carson Heard leading the team with 8 assists, followed by Nathan Tomcak with 5 assists, Dane Meyer with 3 assists, Hunter and Chase Luther both had 2 assists, and Andre Martin had 1 assist. 

Head Coach Kevin Janata said “It was an exciting game with pretty good shooting on both sides. We hit 7 threes, but NBC responded with 10 threes on the night. We did a nice job establishing our post-game, and Andre Martin was huge inside, going 8 for 8 from the field and ¾ from the FT line. In the end, we were able to get one last stop as North Bend was unable to get a final shot off at the buzzer. Our current record is 19-4.” The Jaguars will take on Lutheran High Northeast in their last regular season game at home in Howells on February 21st starting at 6 pm.
