33 FCCLA members compete at state FCCLA
April 6th- April 8th, 33 FCCLA members competed at state FCCLA. Members competed in STAR events that they have been working on all year. STAR stands for students taking action with recognition, and these are projects that students can complete to better than community or learn more about FCS topics. Students who have qualified for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference have the opportunity to travel to Orlando, FL, to present their STAR projects on July 5th- July 9th. The Howells-Dodge FCCLA chapter also applied for chapter awards and received 5 chapter awards. The results are as follows. Adyson Krupka, Isabel Belina, Annemarie Slaughter, Hunter Luther, Noah Coufal, Briggs Ernst, and Autumn Slaughter participated in Parliamentary Procedure Level 3 and earned a bronze medal. Ava Noyd, Jade Bayer, and Taylor Steffensmeier participated in Interpersonal Communications Level 3 and earned a silver medal. Audrey Brabec and Bella Koliha participated in Nutrition and Wellness Level 2 and earned a silver medal. Chase Luther, Nathan Tomcak, and Ethan Prusa participated in Nutrition and Wellness Level 3 and received a silver medal. Mara Cada, Isabella Wegner, and McKenzie Sindelar participated in Professional Presentation Level 2 and earned a silver medal. Cole Bayer, Peyten Becker, and Isaac Meyer participated in Sports Nutrition Level 2 and earned a silver medal. Melvin Delgado, Carson Heard, and Hailey Knapp participated in Sports Nutrition Level 3 and earned a silver medal. Brittney Faltys, Ava Koliha, and Riley Svehla participated in Repurpose and Redesign Level 2 and were state-runners-up, earning a gold medal, advancing them to nationals. Allie Dirkschneider, Kylie Brichacek, and Brody Throener participated in Chapter in Review Display Level 2 and were state-runner-up, earning a silver medal, advancing them to nationals. Kenadie Throener, Andre Martin, and Jose Arita-Segovia participated in Chapter in Review Display Level 3 and were state-runner-up, earning a silver medal, advancing them to nationals. The chapter awards that Howells-Dodge FCCLA was awarded are the Silver Chapter Award, Feed Nebraska Award, Community ServUS Award, White Chapter Affiliation Award, and the 2024-2025 Membership Increase Award.
