A day with FCCLA
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Monday, October 12th, the Howells-Dodge FCCLA chapter attended the District Leadership Conference at CCC in Columbus. The day was kicked off with a keynote speaker from US92 and donuts. Becca from US92 spoke about her career path to becoming a radio broadcaster and shared that not everyone's college experience is going to look the same. She also stressed the importance of finding something you love to do no matter how long it takes you to get there. Then the members went to two large breakout sessions that ranged from an icebreaker game of dodgeball to self-defense techniques that were taught by the David City Police Department. After lunch, members were able to pick two mini breakout sessions that included a wide variety of topics. At the end of the day, many members won door prizes, and Jose Morrison got 2nd place in his level 2 creed speaking contest. Overall, it was a great day for HD FCCLA members!
