Jaguar Speech Team Travels to Battle Creek
On Saturday February 21, the speech team traveled to the Battle Creek Braves speech meet to compete for the final regular season meet. For all the events there were varsity and novice divisions with next-in and champs finals for the varsity division. In varsity duet acting Noah Coufal and Garret Praest got first place in champs finals and Cooper Kreikemeier and Isaiah Coufal got fourth place in next-in finals. Out of the two people who competed in varsity poetry Annemarie Slaughter was third in champs finals and Addi Beeks was fifth in next-in finals. Audery Praest competed in novice serious and got fourth place. In varsity serious Shayla Gall was sixth in the next-in finals. For varsity OID Cooper Kreikemeier, Garret Praest, Isabel Belina, Nathan Tomcak and Noah Coufal placed third in champs finals and Audrey Praest, Gabe Martin, Garrett Radcliff and Jimmy Ratzlaff placed sixth in next-in finals. Then in varsity informative Isabel Belina got third in champs finals and Annemarie Slaughter got sixth in next-in finals. In novice extemp Maura Cada placed third and in novice persuasive Maura Cada got sixth place. Addi Beeks also competed in varsity extemp and was sixth in champs finals. The two who competed in varsity POI included Addi Beeks who got first place in next-in finals and Alessa Gall who got fourth place in next-in POI finals. Finally Allie Dirkschnieder placed fifth in the next-in finals of varsity entertainment. For team sweep stakes the Jaguar speech team place fourth out of the 16 teams that competed in multiple events.
