Lady Jaguars move on to the next sub-district game
On Tuesday, February 17th, the Lady Jags took on the East Butler Tigers in Howells. With defensive pressure, Howells-Dodge was able to hold East Butler to only 9 points at halftime. It was a dominant performance that will give the Lady Jags confidence as they play during the postseason.
Coach Polacek said, “We did a nice job on defense. We forced them into some decisions which led directly to points for us.”

Leading the team in points was junior Kylie Brichacek with 11 points, senior Kenadie Throener, and freshman Brynn Throener with 10. Junior Audrey Brabec with 9, junior Peyten Becker with 8, sophomore Riley Svehla, and McKenzie Sindelar with 3 points. The most assists were recorded by McKenzie Sindelar and Peyten Becker with 4. Kylie Brichacek with 3, Brynn Throener and Bella Koliha with 2. Leading the way in rebounds was Audrey Brabec with 9, Kenadie Throener and Riley Svehla with 6, and Brynn Throener with 5. The Lady Jags continue to push their winning record as they work towards a state appearance.
