East Husker Conference track at Tekamah

On Saturday, May 2, the Jaguar track team traveled to Tekamah to compete at the East Husker Conference track meet. To start with, the boys' field events in triple jump, Jax Nelson placed 4th, Noah Coufal placed 5th, and Jimmy Ratzlaff also competed. In the boys' long jump, Jax Nelson placed 4th, and Isaac Meyer and Oliver Belina also jumped. There was one Jaguar who competed in the high jump, and that was Andre Martin, who placed 2nd. Briggs Ernst competed in both the discus and shot put, placing 8th in shot put, and Brody Johnson also competed in the shot put as well. Now on to the boys running events, Grant Perrin placed 6th in the 100-meter dash, along with Andrew Brester and Jarrett Perrin, who also competed. In the 200-meter dash, Jarrett Perrin and Jimmy Ratzlaff both ran. Gabe Martin and Cael Jones both competed in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run. In the 1600-meter run and 3200-meter run, Luke Belina ran in both and placed 8th in the 3200-meter run. Next in the 110-meter hurdles, Andre Martin placed 2nd, Isaac Meyer placed 4th, and Andrew Brester placed 6th. For the 300-meter hurdles, Andre Martin placed 2nd, Isaac Meyer placed 3rd, and Oliver Belina placed 7th. Finally, for the boys relays the 4x100 team placed 6th with the team being Jarrett Perrin, Jax Nelson, Andrew Brester, and Oliver Belina. The 4x400 team placed 4th with Andre Martin, Gabe Martin, Oliver Belina, and Isaac Meyer on the team. The last relay was the 4x800 that placed 6th with the team being Luke Belina, Jarrett Perrin, Gabe Martin, and Noah Coufal. 

Now for the girls' side of the track, starting with the field events, Isabella Wegner placed 3rd in triple jump, Kylie Brichacek placed 6th, and Avery Bayer also jumped. In the long jump, Brynn Throener placed 3rd, Isabella Wegner placed 5th, and Reagan Bayer also competed. Tenely Ernst competed in both the shot put and discus. Also competing in the discus were Kylie Brichacek, who placed 2nd, and Peyten Becker, who placed 7th. Now for the girls running events in the 100-meter dash, Isabella Wegner placed 7th, Maura Cada placed 8th, and Jordyn Hamata also ran. For the 200-meter dash, Brynn Throener, Maura Cada, and Reagan Bayer all competed. In the 400-meter dash, Brynn Throener placed 3rd along with Norah Noyd and Shayla Gall, also competing. Norah Noyd and Shayla Gall also competed in the 800-meter run. Next for the 100-meter hurdles, Jorydn Hamata competed, Audrey Praest got 1st, and Avery Bayer got 8th. Avery also competed in the 300-meter hurdles, placing 5th. Ending with the girls' relay teams, the 4x100 team got 5th with the team of Audrey Praest, Maura Cada, Isabella Wegner, and Kylie Brichacek. The girls' 4x400 finished off their day by placing 3rd with Reagan Bayer, Avery Bayer, Kylie Brichacek, and Brynn Throener on the team.
