Lady Jags fight a tough battle with O-C

On August 27th, the Howells-Dodge volleyball team traveled to Oakland-Craig to play their first game to start their season. The Lady Jags started strong and won the first set 25-22. The Knights battled back in the second set, leading to a 25-27 score. The Lady Jags took that and battled back to win the third set 26-24. The Knights fought back again in the fourth set, 16-25. The final set was a close 14-16. The Lady Jags put up a good fight, but ultimately fell short 2-3.

Leading in kills was Kylie Brichacek with 13. Following were Peyten Becker with 9, Audrey Brabec with 8, and Bella Koliha with 5.

The Lady Jags had 10 aces throughout the game, with Addison Heard having 5, Riley Svehla with 3, and Bella with 2.

For blocks, Bella had 5, Audrey had 4, Tenley Ernst had 3, Isabella Wegner had 2, and Kylie had 1.

Our setters had the assists. Riley had 17, and Addison had 15.

Although the Lady Jags did not start the season as they would have liked, they will continue to do great things throughout the season. Good luck!
