Lady Jags go 9-1
The Lady Jaguars earned two more wins on September 8th against Pender and Tri County. First, the volleyball team took on the Pender Pendragons and won in 3 sets. The score of the first set was 25-21, the second was 22-25, and the third was 25-11. Kylie Brichacek and Peyten Becker both led the team in kills, followed by Audrey Brabec with 3; Tenley Ernst, Bella Koliha, and Brynn Throener all had 2, and Addison Heard and Riley Svehla had 1 kill. Brynn and Peyten led the team in digs with 14, followed by Addison with 9; Kylie had 6, Riley had 4, and Bella and Tenley had 1 dig. Bella led the team in blocks with 3, then Isabella had 2, and lastly Tenley and Audrey had 1 block.
In their second match, they faced Tri County. The Lady Jags won in 2 sets. The ending score of the first set was 14-25 and the second set was 11-25. In this game, Kylie led the team in kills with 7; Bella and Peyten followed with 4, Audrey and Isabella had 2, and Tenley and Riley had 1 kill. Brynn had 11 digs, Peyten had 9, Riley had 6, Kylie had 3, and Addison, Bella, and Audrey all had 2 digs. Isabella and Bella both had 1 block during the game.
The volleyball team ended the day with two wins, setting their record to 9-1. The Lady Jags will take on Wakefield on September 15th at the Dodge gym. JV/C will start at 5 and varsity will start at 7 p.m.
