Jaguars crush the Longhorns in the first playoff game

On Thursday, October 23, the Jaguars hosted the Hyanis Longhorns for the first playoff game. The Jags were able to easily defeat the Longhorns with a score of 61-12 at the end of the game. This gave the Jaguars another win for their perfect 9-0 season record, still being undefeated.
In the first 2 minutes of the game, Hunter Luther had the first 44-yard touchdown to start off the game; the conversion was run by Andrew Brester. No less than 4 minutes later, Hunter Luther got another 2-yard touchdown, another run from Andrew Brester for the conversion. To close off the first quarter, Dane Meyer got a 4-yard touchdown, and the conversion was run again by Andrew Brester. Going into the second quarter with the Jags leading 24-0, Dane Meyer had an 8-yard pass to Andre Martin for the first touchdown of the quarter, a conversion run by Andrew Brester. Hunter Luther got another 12-yard touchdown, conversion was run by Andrew Brester, and brought the score to 40-0. Andrew Brester had the last touchdown going into halftime with a 1-yard run and also got the conversion. This brought the score at half-time with the Jags in the lead 48-0.
Going into the third quarter, Blane Stutzman had a 5-yard touchdown, but the conversion failed. The Jags' last touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter was an interception from Issac Meyer for a 40-yard touchdown. The conversion failed, which brought the end score of the game to 61-12.
Here is something Andre Martin had to say after the win, “Yeah, the win was great, but now we look forward to next week.”
On Friday, October 31, the Jaguars will take on the Overton Eagles in Howells, NE. This will be the second game of the D2 football playoffs.
