Jags take one step closer
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Thursday, February 26, the Howells-Dodge boys basketball team took on the Walthill Blujays boys at home in a matchup of the subdistrict final. Both teams fought hard, but the Jaguars managed to pull off the win 50 to 41.
The team scoring was pretty evenly spread throughout the team. Andre Martin had 12 points, Ethan Prusa and Dane Meyer both scored 11, and Chase Luther scored 9, which all came from three pointers. The team went 67% from the field. They also got 38 boards, with Nathan Tomcak coming down with 10 of them.
This was a tough and good win for the Jaguar boys. The Jags will look for a win to go to state against BDS in the district final, Monday, March 2nd, in Howells at 6 pm.
