Jaguars travel to Fullerton
On Friday, September 27th the Jaguars traveled to Fullerton to take on the Warriors. The Jaguars came home with another win making their season 5-0.
In the first quarter, the Jaguars put up a total of 16 points. The game's first touchdown came from Dane Meyer throwing a five-yard pass to Grant Perrin to put up six points. Hunter Luther came in and ran in a two-point conversion to make the score 8-0. With less than a minute in the game, Luther ran 5 yards to score another touchdown. Luther also made another two-point conversion to make the Jaguars score 16 points. The Jaguar defense held up well to prevent the Warriors from scoring a point in the first quarter.
Heading into the second quarter with eleven minutes left in the second quarter Hunter Luther ran 29 yards to score another touchdown for the Jags. Oliver Belina ran in a two-point conversion. With nine minutes left in the quarter, Luther ran 40 yards to score yet another touchdown. Dane Meyer then ran the ball into the end zone for the two-point conversion. The last touchdown of the second quarter was made by Dane Meyer on a 5-yard run. Hunter Luther made the two-point conversion run to end the quarter 24-0. The Jaguar defense is still holding strong to lead the Jags to victory as they are up 40-0.
In the third quarter, the Jags didn’t score any points, but the Jags' defense couldn’t hold up as the Warriors scored their first and only touchdown. The Warriors threw in a pass to complete the two-point conversion to make the score 40-8 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Oliver Belina ran in a 38-yard touchdown to score for the Jags. The Jaguars couldn’t make the two-point conversion this time around to make the final score of the game 46-8.
For the stats of the game, Oliver Belina and Nathan Tomcak had one sack each. Nathan Tomcak had one fumble recovery to lead the Jags to victory. The Jaguars will be taking on Riverside for the homecoming game on Friday, October 4th. On Friday the FFA will be having their annual tailgate, so come out and support the Jaguars!
