The Jaguars went against the Defenders
The Howells-Dodge Jaguars went to Humphrey to go against the Archangels Catholic Defenders on October 18, 2024. The final score of the game was 6-36 Defenders. This makes the Jaguars session 6-2.
The Jaguars started with the ball. They had a good drive down the field but they could not execute to get the touchdown. Then there was a turnover on the Defender's 5-yard line. The Jaguar’s defense was doing well to hold them, but then they slipped up and let the Defenders get the first touchdown of the game.
Onto the second quarter, the Jaguars were putting up a good fight on both sides of the ball. The Defenders were also putting up a good fight. The Jags could not execute as well as they usually do and left the first half of the game 0-16.
In the third quarter, the Jags were able to score with Dylan Brichacek's touchdown to bring the score to 6-16. The Jags were not able to score on the two-point conversion.
Coach Speirs had this to say about the game, “The team needs to improve for playoffs coming up this week.” The Jaguars will host the first round of playoffs on Thursday, October 24th at 7 pm.
