Semifinal success

Bailey Paus

On Friday, March 13th, the Howells Dodge Jaguars took on the Elm Creek Buffaloes in the Nebraska state boys basketball D1 semifinal match. This was a good game for the Jags as they won 60 to 36. They got off to rough stuff as Elm Creek led 15 to 8 after the first quarter. The Jags fought back, winning every quarter after that.

The scoring was going off for the Jags with four members going for double-digit points. Ethan Prusa had a career night, scoring 17 points, Andre Martin scored 15, and Chase Luther and Nathan Tomcak both had 12 points on the night. The team also hit the boards hard, racking up 30 total boards to the Buffaloes' 19, with Dane Meyer contributing 9 of them. He also had 8 assists on the night.

The Jags later then took on McCool Junction in the state championship game the following night.
