Cyclones lost in 5 innings
On Thursday, September 4th, the HWY 91 Cyclones went up against the Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Raiders at a home game in Leigh, but couldn’t get their bats going. The score of the game was 0-8 with the Raiders run ruling the Cyclones in five innings. Highway 91 had 3 hits and 2 errors in this game. Reese Bruhn from Leigh led the game with 2 hits, and Reann Bruhn from Leigh followed with 1 hit. Reese Bruhn also led the team with 10 putouts, with Brittney Faltys behind her with 3 putouts. Matelyn Rayback and Shaylynn Marty from Leigh followed with 1 putout each. In total, the Cyclones had 15 putouts during this game. Reann Bruhn pitched for the Cyclones and had 1 walk and 3 strikeouts for the game. Overall, the Cyclones need to continue working as a team to get back on the right track.
Next week, the Cyclones compete against Ponca in Ponca on Monday, September 8th, and on Thursday, September 11th, the Cyclones play another home game in Leigh against Twin River. JV games start at 5 pm with varsity to follow both nights. On Saturday, September 13th, the Cyclones will compete in the Lakeview Tournament starting at 9 am.
