Cyclones travel to David City
On Saturday, September 6th, the Highway 91 Cyclones traveled to David City to take on Blue River. Britteny Faltys got a stolen base and 4 putouts during the game. For batting, Brittney hit a double and added another hit. Allie Dirkschneider hit the ball once and got on base, but was not able to score. Reann Bruhn also added 1 hit. Brittney had 4 putouts, Shaylynn Marty had 3, Reese Bruhn had 2, and Allie Dirkschneider and Reann had a putout. Mattie Rayback and Reann each had 1 assist for fielding during the game. For pitching, Mattie had 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Reann also had a walk and 2 strikeouts for the game.
Overall, the girls couldn’t get their bats going, so they couldn’t get the win. The score at the end was 0-8 with Blue River winning. Next week, the Cyclones will take on Ponca at Ponca on Monday, Twin River on Thursday in Leigh, and will compete in the Lakeview tournament on Saturday, starting at 9 am.
