Softball Sub Districts

The Highway 91 Cyclones traveled to Hastings to compete in their softball subdistricts. In the first game, the Cyclones took on the Chase County Longhorns and won with a score of 14-1. Allie Dirchschneider had a total of 3 runs. She was walked twice and hit with the ball once. Brittney Faltys had a total of three hits, two runs, and three RBI’s.  Brittney Faltys also hit a home run against the Longhorns. This game was over by the third inning, with the Cyclones running-rule the Longhorns. Reann Bruhn pitched for the Cyclones and had three walks and 8 strikeouts.

After that game, the Highway 91 Cyclones played the Hastings St. Cecilia Bluehawks. Brittney Faltys had 3 at-bats with 1 hit and 1 double base hit. There were a total of 14 putouts this game, with Hannah Cech and Brittney leading the team, each with 4 putouts. The Cyclones couldn’t quite get their bats going in this game, so the Bluehawks won the game with the final score being 2-10. Good luck next year, Cyclones!
