Cyclones First Win of the Season
On Tuesday, August 27, the Highway 91 Cyclones came out on top against the Pierce Bluejays on their home field in Leigh.
Matelyn Rayback started pitching for the Cyclones and allowed 11 runs total in the game. The sophomore Autumn Slaughter was the lead off hitter and had 5 hits and 1 RBI. Sophomore Allie Dirkschneider followed and had 2 hits, 1 RBI, was walked, and was hit by a pitch. Senior Jordyn Ratzlaff had a total of 3 hits, with one of those hits being a 3-run home run. Ratzlaff also had 3 RBIs, 3 runs, and got walked twice. The freshman Brittney Faltys acquired 4 hits, 2 RBIs, 4 runs, and one walk. Senior Adyson Krupka had 2 hits and 1 RBI. The Highway 91 Cyclones obtained 12 runs to win the game.
The Cyclones will travel to West Point on Thursday, August 29 to compete in the triangular with GACC and Tekamah-Herman.
