HWY 91 Cyclones fall 0-3 in NEN Invite

On Saturday, August 31, the Highway 91 Cyclones traveled to Wisner to play in the NEN Invite.

For their first game, they fell to Boone Central 8-13. Reann Bruhn started in the pitching circle. Leading off for the Cyclones was sophomore Autumn Slaughter hitting one RBI. Next was sophomore Allie Dirkschneider with 2 singles and an RBI. After that senior Jordyn Ratzlaff got a walk and ran in one run. After that was Mattie Rayback, and then it was freshman Brittney Faltys who got walked twice and ran in 2 runs. Then it was sophomores Reann and Reese Bruhn, then finally it was senior Ady Krupka who got walked. 

For the Cyclones' second game, they played and fell to the Pierce Bluejays 7-11. Jordyn Ratzlaff started the game in the circle for the Cyclones allowing 11 runs in total 10 of them earned. They kept the lineup for the day remotely the same. Leading off was Autumn Slaughter who had 4 plate appearances. Allie Dirkschneider had 3 plate appearances with one single, one double, and driving in one RBI. Next was Jordyn Ratzlaff who got walked and scored once. Brittney Faltys had 1 single and 1 walk and scored twice. Finally, Ady Krupka with one single, bringing in 2 RBIs and scoring once. 

The last game for the Cyclones was against Logan View. They fell to them 3-2. Mattie Rayback started this game in the circle. Autumn Slaughter had one single and scored once. Dirkschneider had one double and drove in one RBI. Ratzlaff had one single and scored once. Junior Annemarie Slaughter went in for Reese Bruhn at first, she had one single. 

The Cyclones have a home game in Leigh against Blue River on September 3rd with JV starting at 5 pm.
