Cyclones host the NEN Vipers
Thursday, September 19th the Highway 91 Cyclones played against the NEN Vipers in Dodge for their last home game of the regular season. Starting in the circle for the Cyclones was senior Jordyn Ratzlaff who struck out one and walked none. She allowed ten hits and thirteen runs only five of them being earned.
In the first inning sophomore Allie Dirkschneider was hit by a pitch. Sophomore Autumn Slaughter reached on an error. Ratzlaff grounds out to third. Mattie Rayback singles on a line drive to center and scores Dirkschneider. Freshman Brittney Faltys singles on a line drive to center and scores Rayback.
At the bottom of the second Reann Bruhn gets walked. Junior Annemarie Slaughter hits a ground ball reaches on an error and scores Bruhn. In the bottom of the third Ratzlaff flys out to right and Rayback pops out to shortstop. Faltys doubles on a line drive to center and Reese Bruhn grounds out to third.
Bottom of the fourth Reann Bruhn gets walked and Emma Bernhardt singles on a fly ball to right. Annemarie Slaughter grounds out to shortstop but advances the runners. Dirkschneider hits a hard ground ball to center and reaches on an error, scoring Bruhn and Bernhardt. In the bottom of the fifth Faltys grounds out to shortstop and Bruhn grounds out to the third baseman ending the game with the score of 13-5.
The Cyclones play in Arlington on Saturday, September 21st at the Eagle Invite.
