HWY 91 Cyclones travel to Fort Calhoun
On Tuesday, October 1st, the Highway 91 Cyclones traveled to Fort Calhoun to take on the Central City Bison and the Fort Calhoun Pioneers. Matelyn Rayback started pitching the game and pitched 3 innings. Rayback faced 19 batters, threw 59 pitches, and allowed 7 hits, and 8 runs. Later in the game, senior Jordyn Ratzlaff finished the last inning. She faced 3 batters, threw 10 pitches, and allowed no hits. Sophomore Autumn Slaughter acquired 1 walk and scored 1 run. Ratzlaff had 1 single, 1 double, 2 RBIs, and scored 1 run. Freshman Brittney Faltys had 2 singles, 1 walk, and scored 1 run. Senior Adyson Krupka had 1 walk and scored 1 run.
In the Cyclones’ second game of the night, Ratzlaff started the game and pitched 2 innings. She faced 16 batters, threw 43 pitches, and allowed 7 hits, and 9 runs. Reann Bruhn finished the last inning of the game and faced 6 batters, threw 28 pitches, and allowed 3 hits, and 3 runs. Sophomore Allie Dirkschneider had 1 single and got walked. Ratzlaff had 1 single, 1 walk, and scored 1 run. The Cyclones will travel to Ashland for sub-districts on Monday, October 7, and take on the David City Monarchs.
