The Jaguars take down the Monarchs
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Tuesday, December 10th, the Jaguars took on the Aquinas Catholic Monarchs. The boys battled hard after starting off behind the Monarchs but came out on the other side with a good win. They found good energy and kept their heads up.
Per quarter scoring was:
HD: 12-11-14-19 with a final of 56
AC: 15-12-5-16 with a final of 48
The Jags had a good night with junior Nathan Tomcak scoring 12 points, senior Carson Heard close behind with 11 points, juniors Ethan Prusa and Hunter Luther both scoring 9 points, junior Andre Martin scoring 8 points, and junior Dane Meyer scoring 7 points. Leading the team in rebounds was Luther with 8, Tomcak with 7, Meyer had 5, Martin had 4, Prusa had 3, Heard had 2, and junior Cooper Kreikemeier and sophomore Briggs Ernst both had 1. Meyer and Tomcak each had 8 assists, Luther had 3, and Heard had 1. Meyer was the top stealer in the game with 4. Head Coach Kevin Janata said, “The team did a great job of overcoming adversity early in the game. It seemed like our shots weren’t falling, and we got down early. We didn’t get down on ourselves, and we found a way to battle back and get the win.”
