The boys played a fantastic game with some impressive scoring. Andre Martin was at the top of the scorers with 11 points. Dane Meyer was close behind with 10 points. Nathan Tomcak and Briggs Ernst both scored 8 points. Hunter Luther had 6 points. Ethan Prusa scored 4, while Carson Heard and Cole Bayer both scored 2 points. Ernst dominated under the hoop with 8 total rebounds. Tomcak snagged 5, while Cooper Kreikemeier and H. Luther were not far behind with 4 rebounds. D. Meyer and Martin both grabbed 3, and Prusa had 1 rebound. D. Meyer and H. Luther each had 4 assists. Tomcak had 3, and Noah Coufal had 2 assists, while Heard had 1. The Jaguars were vicious, snatching 19 steals in total. Heard, Martin, and H. Luther each robbed 4 steals from the Cougars. Meanwhile, D. Meyer, Isaac Meyer, and Prusa all had 2 steals. Finally, Isaiah Coufal had 1 steal. Head Coach Kevin Janata commented, “The boys played with great effort and intensity, especially on the defensive end. We forced 19 turnovers on our way to a big win. We next take on Bancroft-Rosalie Thursday night in Howells in the Sub-District Final.” The boys had some extensive stats for this game, with a lot of boys coming off the bench.
