Jags Dominate in the East Husker Conference
The Howells-Dodge Jaguars took on the West Point Beemer Cadets in the EHC Championship. “The championship in the EHC tournament was definitely a defensive battle, with each team struggling to find any rhythm on offense. The boys did a nice job taking away what West Point-Beemer wanted to do on offense while making enough plays on the other end to take the lead going into the fourth quarter. Both teams had opportunities to get the advantage late, but free throw makes were hard to come by. We got a few huge offensive rebounds late in the quarter and got a final stop to seal the victory. I’m really proud of the effort our boys made in the tournament, knocking off the 4 seed, 1 seed, and 2 seed to win HDC’s first conference championship since 2013.” -Head Coach, Kevin Janata.
